TRAINING SCHEDULE

GAME SCHEDULE

With the Fall/Winter program coming to an end in mid-April, we now look forward to a successful Spring Development Team Program which begins the first week of May.

The Club Prospects (Sept. '12 - April '13) were designed primarily as training & development phases (each phase included 12 sessions - 24 weeks).

The next program (May - July) will be a competitive developmental segment where players will train twice per week in age group Development Teams in order to play several exhibition games and attend two summer tournaments/exchanges either in the lower mainland or in Washington.

This is an open program and all players are welcome. Where numbers require, teams may be tiered or players asked to play up or down an age group in order to create the most appropriate training groups and competition for opponents. Players will take part in Canadian age groupings, however, when we attend the US Tournament we will arrange teams based on the US ages.

An outline of the program is shown below.

Optional SPRING ACADEMY-FORMAT PROGRAM

There remains the option in the spring for players to register for 'Academy Format' which includes one training session per week for $350.00+GST if they cannot make all sessions and games/tournaments because of other commitments.

  • Question: Can an Academy-format participant chose the age-group session that they attend and can they play in games/tournaments
  • Answer: The player can select the training session (day of the week) that they would like to attend. As fees for games (referees/fields/BC Soccer travel fee/tournament fee) are built into the Development Team (2x per week fee), Spring Academy is not designed to include games. However if players are needed for these competitions we will attempt to include players from the Academy-format.
