Co-op Reserves win over 2-0 over TSS

Saturday's performance by the Peninsula Co-op reserves was bolstered by the addition of first team players Liz Hansen, Mariel Solsberg and Kelsey Tikka.  It was also the debut for Mid-fielder Tessa Margetts and returning from injury were Centre back Nikki Turner and Striker Sarah Lefebvre.  With the game going back and forth the first half finished in a 0-0 draw.  Shortly after the break in the 47th minunute Liz Hansen was able to break the deadlock with a very welll placed shot past the TSS goalie.  10 Minutes later Tessa Margetts blasted a world class shot into the back of the TSS goal from outside the penalty area.  Throughout the game there were strong performances by a number of Co-op players making the game a very entertaining encounter.  Goaltenders Shelby Walker and Sam Behm combined for a well deserved shutout.  Make the Final 2-0 for the Peninsula Co-op reserve team.   The next game is again at home with the kick-off 2pm at Hampton Park on Saturday July 7th.  Feel free to join and "LIKE" our facebook page to view pictures and video of the games: https://www.facebook.com/PenCo.Reserves
