Well the lads are off to a great start. Winning their first three matches (last two being on the road) it's looking like a promising season for the Highlanders. The club still isn't up to full strength due to Gorge players playing in BC A Cup Final today as well as injuries hitting the team (Scott and Kambere) and some players are still not cleared to play due to paper work issues (grrrrr). But the reserves are stepping up and giving it a great showing to fill in the gaps. Ian Bridge seems to be doing a good job so far juggling the lineups around. So far we sit second in NW division (only by goal differential) tied on points with Kitsap. If this keeps going throughout the season, the games against Kitsap (on the road June 25 and at BMS July 3rd) could decide who wins the NW division,
Just wait till we get all our players back and the club is at full strength, we could be a definite force in the NW division. A shout out to young Brandon Watson who has been playing great between the woodwork for the first few games of the season, including a clean sheet on Friday v Spokane. Big shoes to fill for such a young keeper. Keep it up mate!
